How to clear cookies from a web-browser

Clearing cookies (also sometime colloquially know as how to clear biscuits)

Windows OS

Firefox

In Firefox click “Tools”->then “Options” (“Edit” ->”Preferences”  Linux version)

then select “Privacy”
In the “Cookies panel”, click on “Show Cookies”

To remove a single cookie click on the entry in the list and click the “Remove Cookie” button.
If you want to remove all the cookies click the “Remove All Cookies” button.

Opera

If you want to delete all the cookies immediately, do this on the “Delete private data” on the “Tools menu”.

If you want to delete all the cookies at the end of every browsing session, change it by selecting it under the privacy settings under Tools > Preferences.
To delete particular cookies, click on “Manage cookies” to delete specific cookies or cookies located from specific sites.

Internet Explorer 8

Click on "Safety" located on the Command bar
and click the "Delete browsing History" button
click the option for cookies then click Delete

Another way is clicking the InPrivate browsing that allows users to surf the net without caching information from sites.

To enter this mode:

Click on "Safety" in the Command bar
& Select "InPrivate Browsing"

Internet Explorer 7

Close Internet Explorer 7, and any other instances of Windows Explorer
Click Start, click Run, type inetcpl.cpl, then click OK
Under the General tab, click Delete under Browsing History in the Internet Properties dialog box.
In the Delete Browsing History dialog box, click the Delete Cookies button
In the Delete Cookies dialog box, click the Yes button.

Google Chrome

Click on the Tools menu and select “Options”
Next click the "Under the Hood" tab and find the "Security" section.
In the "Cookie settings" section, click on the "Show cookies" button.

Now select "Remove all" to delete all the cookies from the list;also, this can be done to remove all cookies made within a specific time period by selecting the "Clear browsing data" option within the “tools” menu).

To remove a particular cookie, select the website that created the cookie from the list and click on the "Remove" button.

After you are done click the “close” button to finish.
